Masks People Use

Why do people wear masks? People wear masks for all different reasons. To show happiness, show sadness, or just to celebrate a holiday or Birthday. People wear two different types of masks typically the visible ones (usually to celebrate), or the invisible ones (used to hide true feelings). Here I will tell you about both of them.

One type of mask is the visible mask the one that is more commonly used. Some of those masks include Halloween masks, MardiĀ GrasĀ masks, and sometimes Birthday masks. These masks are commonly used to celebrate fun times or a special day. They are used to show off, like in the Halloween masks. These are the masks that people in joy to wear.

The other type of masks are sometimes called emotions like sorrow, happiness, or forgiveness or other feelings. These masks are invisible to the human eye. When someone wears one of these masks you are usually unaware of it. When wearing one of these masks you make someone think that u are happy when you are actually sad or forgiveness when you really don’t forgive them at all. You usually are hiding the absolute opposite.

Why do people wear masks? I know and now you should too.

Basketball

“Swish” the hoop whispers as I take the high gives my team gives me. I am in my 3rd game in the season and so far we haven’t lost. Today I am feeling my adreniline rush through my body, and as soon as the game started I knew it was my day.

1,2,3 my points are racking up. By the end of the first half I think I had at least 9 points including a three pointer from the outside wing. All of my shot were set shots on the wing or a little next to the wing. “Beep” the buzzer sounds the end of the first half ends great with us winning 27-14.

The second half begins and I am back first shot bounces off the rim and goes in. ” that’s 11″ I say in my head. I dribble down the court pass to the point guard who fakes a shot passes to me then I imediantly shoot and make it. This continues intel I gain 20 points, and “beep” thats the game. With a whooping win of 42-19.

I go to congratulate the other team I know in my head how many points I scored and I will be happy to tell my parents about it.

Pep Rallies

The unamusing cheerleaders, the voices that excel past the sound barrier, the mediocre games that are supposed to make everybody laugh, and those glitchy microphones that screech shivers down your back. Pep Rallies are no fun.

Boring, one word to describe why I loathe Pep Rallies. With the sloppy, boring cheerleaders that really don’t make me have any pep. Also the kid games that for some reason some people think they are amusing. Usually the games will include a teacher on your team for two people games, and if you were to win the game you win a few little pieces of candy. Also the constant talking of the school councilors that talk about problems are school has, it seems like they take days! How can that be fun?

Loud is the other reason why I dislike Pep Rallies. When you arrive the voices will fly out and smack you silly. There are competitions on who is the loudest grade. The only grade that actually participates is 6th grade, but they scream like little girls on the top of their lungs. Also with non-stop talking through-out the Pep Rally it is hard to concentrate on anything.

With all of these distractions in the way how can anything be amusing? Fun is not a word to describe that.
